Shows as a very dry style giving a crispness that almost demands to be shared with food. A pleasing Chardonnay statement, clean and literate. Some development in the bottle lies ahead through the first 6 month of 2020. Line him up with a platter of antipasto or stimulate the taste buds as an aperitif. Into 2024.

Nelson Bright, straw-yellow with some depth, even colour throughout. The nose is coy, subtle notes of stonefruit, Mayer lemon, underlying creamy MLF details and barrel
spice elements. Medium-bodied, aromas of lemons, peaches, along with toast, almond
bitters interweaves notes of barrel spices. The flavours are broad and deep, and fill the
palate. The acidity is lively, flows on a light grip phenolic line to a moderate finish. This
is a palatable Chardonnay with up-front flavours of stonefruit and cream on light grip
textured line. Match with Five-spice chicken drums and pork over the next 2-3 years.
Fermented warm to 13% alc. Aged 12 months on lees in stainless steel tanks, full MLF.

Harvested in the cool mornings of late March. The cold Chardonnay grapes were brought into the winery and gently pressed. The juice was then fermented warm and aged for 12 months on yeast lees undergoing a full malolactic conversion before being prepared and bottled.
Pale straw in colour, our Chardonnay has aromas of ripe stone-fruit with subtle oak. The palate is rich and balanced with generous layered flavours of stone-fruit, melon and citrus, that gives the wine a lovely mouthfeel and length. This Chardonnay is a perfect accompaniment to chicken and creamy pasta dishes.
