Anchorage Florals Sauvignon Blanc 2021, Nelson
Bright, even, pale yellow colour. The nose is full, with concentrated aromas of ripe stonefruit, citrus underlined asparagus and floral details. Medium-bodied, vibrant nuances of ripe nectarine, mango entwined with lime, asparagus and saline. The fruit is ripe and succulent, there is good concentration, and salinity provides some weight to the palate. Vibrant acidity flows with good energy and subtle fine-textured phenolics. This Sauvignon Blanc possesses intense ripe fruit, herbaceousness and salinity on a vibrant drive. Match with battered blue cod and steamed shellfish over the next 2 years. Fermented in stainless steel to 12% alc. 17.5/20 pts (88 pts) Oct 2021

Anchorage ‘Florals' Sauvignon Blanc 2021 < 4 stars >
Some delicious Nelson Sauvignon fruit, opening clean and welcoming on a summer day, with or without food. Nice silver medal sipping; ready, through next year and half.

WINEMAKING
This Sauvignon Blanc was machine harvested in the cool mornings of late March, then destemmed and gently pressed to tank for settling. The juice was then racked off solids and the bright juice cool fermented with aromatic yeast strains. The wine was then blend-ed and bottled for you to enjoy!
TASTING NOTE
Lively and racy, lots of flavours settling down at six months although the freshness gives the wine immediate appeal. Great aperitif or with a fish course. Perhaps a matter of taste some will prefer the freshness, other, will prefer this stage to pass. A fine glass of Nelson Sauvignon either way.
